Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on topics related to Fire Island’s environment, including but not limited to ecology, conservation, climate change, and community initiatives.
- Take the lead on developing compelling stories and articles for publication on our website and newsletter.
- Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all research and writing assignments.
- Engage in outreach activities to the community, fostering connections and gathering insights.
Qualifications:
- Passion for environmental conservation and community engagement, particularly in the context of Fire Island.
- Previous experience in journalism, research, or environmental advocacy is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Regularly update and maintain website content, including text, images, and future multimedia elements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure website content aligns with organizational goals and messaging
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise, including website downtime or errors.
- Monitor website performance and implement strategies to improve user engagement.
